I Don't Want To Give Up

I don't think love just ends like that. Just because things got difficult between us, or because we've both cried and felt hurt, doesn't mean we suddenly stop loving each other or that we have to become strangers.
You said you cried for the beautiful thing that passed us by, but I don't want to believe that it's already gone. If we still mean this much to each other, then why should we just let it end? Why should the fact that we've been hurt become the reason we stay apart?
I know I made mistakes, and I know things haven't been easy between us. But I still love you, and I still want you. I don't want to look back someday and think that we gave up on each other when there was still something left to save.
So no, I don't want to say goodbye and call it fate. I want us to try again, properly this time. Because for me, love isn't something that just disappears because we've had a bad time. And I don't want to lose you just because we've both been hurt.
I still choose you.
